M/s Daksh
Laboratories, Jabalpur is one of the premier organizations in the field of
Microbiology, biochemistry and Biotechnology. It is the only private laboratory
in Jabalpur and one of the very few in Madhya Pradesh. The R&D wing of M/S
Daksh Laboratories offers short and long term hands-on- training programs in
basic and advanced areas of Microbiology, biochemistry and Biotechnology to
PG/UG and paramedical students. The training modules currently available are as
follows:
I. Training programme in Protein Biochemistry-
We offer a full course on protein biochemistry techniques
starting from protein assays, purification, identification and labeling
techniques. The major techniques available are-

II. Training programme in Clinical Biochemistry-
The Lab offers training in a variety of
clinical biochemistry fields for biochemistry PG/UG candidates as well as
courses are available for DMLT students and other paramedical staff. A vast
variety of research projects are available for dissertation students. The
training is given by automated and semi-automated analyzer, blood cell counters
and ELISA readers. Dissertation students are welcome to come up with their
projects in clinical biochemistry.
III. Training programme in Molecular Biology-
1. Isolation of genomic DNA, purity assessment, quantification etc.
2. DNA/RNA electrophoresis (Agarose gel electrophoresis)
3. Isolation of plasmids
4. Purification of recombinant proteins
IV. Training programme in Microbiology/
Medical
Microbiology-
1. Basics of microbiological techniques- includes culture
identification, plating and growing techniques
2. A vast variety of microbiological research projects available
for dissertation students
3. Short term hands-on programme in microbiology also available
V.
Training programme in Algal/cyanobacterial
Biotechnology
1. Production of bioactive metabolites from algae and/or
cyanobacteria
2. Evaluation of biological activity of secondary metabolites
3. Purification and identification of such compounds by latest
methods – for this Daksh Laboratories have overseas tie-ups with universities
and research labs
4. Optimization of algal culture media for maximum production of
desired metabolite
ELIGIBILITY
The trainees should
preferably be a post graduate, under graduate, diploma holder in para-medicals
in any branch of Science/Agriculture etc. and should understand English/Hindi
well. The medium of instruction for the training course will be preferably English/Hindi.
FEE AND MODE OF PAYMENT
The
training fee will be:
1. Hands-on training Programme for upto 15 days Rs.
10,000 each student.
2. Training programme for short term research for upto three months
Rs.15,000/- each candidate
3. Dissertation Programme for research for upto six months
Rs.20,000/- each candidate
4. For specific Training programme around the year, kindly contact
us. The fee will be charged on the basis of field of interest of the candidate.
Fee excludes traveling, boarding and lodging
charges. The training fee should be paid through demand draft in favour of M/s
Daksh Laboratories, Jabalpur payable at any nationalized bank at Jabalpur
(M.P.) India. The applicants belonging to local area may pay the fee in cash
during the office hours (9.30AM to 5.00PM) in any working day except holiday
and Sunday.
